The A-lister put her smokey eyes in the spotlight

At the recent premiere of the movie Girl on the Train, actress Emily Blunt captivated the crowd in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress. Celebrity make-up artist, Jenn Streicher, took inspiration from the fashion house’s runway show and interpreted the look to suit Emily. The result? A subtle, smokey eye.
Jenn first prepped Emily’s skin with a hydrating primer before layering a radiance primer to highlight the cheekbones. She then primed her eyelids with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton before lining the upper and lower lash line with a kajal liner like Laura Mercier Kajal d’Orient in Noir Supreme and smudging it with her ring finger. Jenn’s tip when doing a smokey eye? “I always recommend doing it before foundation so that you can easily clean up any mistakes and keep the undereye area clean.” Lashings of mascara and a light brown on the brows finished things off.
To get a flawless complexion, Jenn applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Natural all over Emily’s face before using the Candleglow Concealer and Highlighter over the top of her cheekbones. A warm nude lip was chosen to compliment the overall look so Jenn created the perfect mix using Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colours in Indiscretion and Rose.
