It only takes one month for some health habits to kick in. So make the most of the next 30 days with these tips

Eat: A daily 11g serve of shiitake mushrooms. After four weeks, your immune system will function more efficiently. If you’re not a fan of shiitakes, button mushrooms will have similar effect on your immunity, by revving up the body’s production of antiviral and other protective proteins.
Drink: 600ml of green tea every day. After one month, your levels of oxidised low-density lipoprotein (the version of LDL, or ‘bad’ cholesterol that’s a well-known market of heart-disease risk) will be significantly lower, thanks to the tea’s antioxidant activity.
Remind: Yourself every day of the reasons you want to lose weight (if you’re trying to). Research proves dieters who have the highest levels of what’s called autonomous motivation four weeks into their weight-loss journey, are more likely to succeed long term. So focus on losing weight for personal reasons like health rather than to impress someone.
