KL Alternative Bookfest 2017 + Art For Grabs

Date: Aug 19 and 20  / Time: 12pm-10pm / Location: Publika (The Boulevard), Kuala Lumpur (Part of The Cooler Lumpur Festival 2017)

Open to all storytellers, art lovers, and imaginary friends. Be prepared to browse through 80 booths of indie publishers, contemporary craftmakers, and social causes, and attend 11 events to help us think about our history and our present, including book launches, forums, and performances.

The Cooler Lumpur Festival

Date: Aug 17 – 20 /  Location: Publika (The Boulevard), Kuala Lumpur

This year, the 5th edition of The Cooler Lumpur Festival, will once again look to the social, political, technological, and cultural ideas that have become representative of these times and tell the story of our collective futures. This year features an impressive line  international speakers line up as well as local movers and shakers to share their insights in various workshops organised.

Other than selected workshops, the festival is free of charge and open to participants of all ages,

Date: Aug 19 – 20 / Time: 11am – 8pm / Location: APW, Bangsar 

More than just pop up stores and food, Riuh offers hands on workshops, art exhibitions and live performances. You’ll also be able to sample their very own Nasi Lemak Burger Agak Agak Riuh – exclusively collaborating with @agakagak_ for this yummy goodness! Admission is free.

MINIfest 2017

MINIFest 2017 

Date: Aug 20 / Time: 3pm – 10pm / Location: Desa ParkCity, 5, Persiaran Residen, Desa Parkcity

Visit the first-ever MINI-styled marketplace where vendors and owners will be selling fashion, accessories and lifestyle items right from the boot of a range of MINI vehicles! There’ll be other activities to keep the family and kids entertained, including; hot air balloon rides, tyre bowling, tantalising food from various food trucks and not to mention, a larger than life congkak and jenga!  Plus you can test drive the MINI cars including the recently launched MINI Countryman.

Love a bargain? Then this upcoming second hand flea market might be the place for you! Strictly featuring vendors selling second hand clothes, used furniture, old stocks and even old books.
