The mega star's struggles come to light in this original new documentary
By The Weekly | September 20, 2017
Watch a different side of mega star Lady Gaga, a more vulnerable and private side of this amazing singer in this new documentary. Emmy nominated filmmaker Chris Moukarbel (famed for Banksy Does New York and Me At The Zoo) gives viewers an unfiltered, behind the scenes access as Gaga spends time with friends and family, records and releases her 2016 album Joanne and deals with personal struggles.
“When producers wanted me to be sexy, I always put some absurd spin on it that made me feel like I was still in control,” she says in the trailer. The film is shot over an eight month period where you get to see Gaga cope with intense emotional and physical pain. From attending a family christening, visiting her grandmother or cooking and playing with her dogs at home, this film helps you understand how all of these experiences contribute to the singer’s art and how she has become such a beloved figure worldwide.
